Head of Asthma school

Resulting from the partnerships with the American hospitals Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, New Hampshire, and the University of Texas Health Center at Tylor, Texas, the hospital’s own treatment program adapted to children’s ages was devised in 1995. Based on teamwork and coordinated by a physician, nurse, physiotherapist and occupational therapist, the school was attended by some 2,500 participants.
Organized through a structured schedule of courses for children above 5 years of age and their parents in the duration of two days (Tuesday/Wednesday 16-18:00), the Asthma School takes place in the hospital’s blue room for groups up to 20 children.
For registration a previous appointment is necessary. Appointments can be scheduled by phone (no: +385 1 6391 119), or directly at the hospital’s reception desk. All participants should be referred by their family physician.
